LAB2GO
PRODUCT & SERVICE

The Sigma Sensors Lab2Go ITS90 traceable / ISO17025:2017 accredited calibration wafer is both a product and a Service.

This is the same wafer we use for our on-site calibrations. It features even tighter tolerances and lower measurement uncertainty compared to the K2 calibration wafer. The temperature range is from -60 °C to +200 °C, and standard sizes are 200mm with 7,9 and 13 sensors as well as 300 mm with 9, 13 and 17 sensors respectively. The expanded measurement uncertainty can be as low as <0.1K k=2, equivalent to accuracy <±0.05 °C.

You take the measurement; we take care of the rest.

And when it is time for yearly recalibration, all you have to do is send the unit back after the freshly calibrated rotating replacement has been received.

REMOTE
CALIBRATION

Sigma Sensors offers the traceable version of this wafer for lease to selected customer sites for in-house use in conjunction with the SIGMA remote calibration certificate option.

The saved data is transmitted via Wi-Fi or LTE to our secure in-lab hosted cloud server. The processed data is fitted into the calibration certificate and electronically returned to the synchronization folder on the attached notebook. All data is presented in our standard format, and certificates can be issued as traceable or accredited.

The customer advantage is the in-house capability for anytime calibration, 24/7/365, without the need to schedule tool downtime or taking time out of the day for meeting and escort responsibilities.

You take the measurement; we take care of the rest!

L2G fulfills traceability requirements of ISO17025:2017 and IATF AS/TS 16949 and is used in a laboratory environment to obtain the most accurate temperature measurements. The L2G wafer comes with 13 sensors for 200mm and 17 sensors for 300mm and offers a temperature upgrade path to -60 °C and +200 °C, respectively. It is based on the K2 wafer and incorporates remote calibration capabilities.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ISO9000: Focuses on guidance and tools that products and services must consistently meet for quality to be consistently improved.

To comply with ISO9000 one requires ISO17025 calibrated equipment, and internal laboratory and external laboratory services.

ISO17025: ISI/IEC 17025 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. ISO17025 focuses more specifically on requirements for technical competence and the implementation of quality systems aimed at improving the ability to consistently produce valid test results.

Uncertainty of measurement determines its accuracy. ISO 17025 requires all uncertainties to be added to come up with the combined measurement uncertainty.

Expanded measurement uncertainty (I.e., Expanded Uncertainty): Combined standard measurement uncertainty and a factor larger than one.

Measurement uncertainty is usually expressed as an expanded uncertainty U = k*uc, where k is the coverage factor and uc the combined standard uncertainty.

Expanded uncertainty with a coverage factor k of 2 provided an interval with a level of confidence of approximately 95%.

Accuracy is the degree to which the result of a measurement, calculation, or specification conforms to the correct value or a standard.

Precision is the refinement in measurement, calculation, or specification, especially as represented by the number of digits given.

Wafer lease programs are available on Lab2Go models for internal ISO17025 laboratories at customer sites only.

This product is covered by Sigma Care! Which gives you a standard 25 cycle, the 3-month warranty is included. This does not cover breakage – strictly workmanship and technical performance. Should a sensor go out or a production defect arise, these are covered for 6 months.

Yes, Sigma Care extends the warranty to 12 months and is available on an extended basis.

K2 fulfills traceability requirements for ISO17025 and IATF16949 and is used in a laboratory environemnt to obtain the most accurate temperature measurements. The K2 wafer comes with 13 sensors for 200mm and 17 sensors for 300mm and offers a temperature upgrade path to -60C and +200C respectively

Temperature sensor performance can only be calibrated at temperature whereas other available temperature wafers strictly measur the electrical accuracy of the meter and use sensor specifications. At the extreme temperature ranges.

The performance window opens up and can be as much as +-0.5C in either direction. SIGMA calibrates at temperature and verifies at temperature. Our top of the loine models undergo a minimum of 6 calibration runs accounting for all parameters.

Unlike other wafers, our wafers come customized for all budgets and requirements, are mdae for global mobility, can be purchased as wafer plus data only for use with your own meter. In addition we do offer a shatter free option.

The wafer has a >50% survival rate on 1M drop-test, can be used even when cracked or otherwise damaged and sensors can be replaced if required.

Normal care should be taken during handling and shipping. Due to the construction method it is inherently more rugged than standard wafers. In addition it is enclosed in a heavy duty protective shell during transport. Should it crack with the non-shatter option, the wafer can still be safely used to obtain valid measurement results.

Upgrades depend on the wafer model.

Sensors can be replaced with matching sensors from the same production run as we calibrate additional spare sensors for each wafer.

Recalibration is up to the customer. SIGMA recommends a 12 month interval until drift is established and documented. Your own process requirements should override any recommendations as we do not have any input on your processes.

SIGMA SENSOR is the only accredited temperature calibration laboratory globally specializing in surface temperature calibration. All our calibrations are Accredited and/or traceable, satifyinng the requirements of ISO17025 and IATF16949.
